Lt. Col. Stanley H. Casey

Obituary Notice

Lt. Col. Stanley H. Casey, age 87, of Little Rock died Sunday, March 20, 2005. He was born in Batesville, AR the only son of Ruth Handford and Earl Casey. He attended Stanton Military Academy. During World War II , he served in the US Army in Alaska and Europe. He was captured during the Battle of the Bulge and was held prisoner of war in Germany. He was awarded both the Silver and Bronze Stars for gallantry. Since then he has resided in Little Rock where he retired from the Veteran's Administration.

He is survived by his wife, Daphne; his three daughters, Shirley, Edith and Pamela. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM today, Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Pulaski County Humane Society. www.ruebelfuneralhome.com
