"Dr Sudderth has been my doctor since 1990, when he was in Bryant. He was a great man and my favorite doctor. He would always say Hi when we saw him in public and always called me when I needed to talk to him. He took care of my Mom when she was dying of Brain Cancer. "To Lynn, Lauren and Jim,

Your husband and father was one of the greatest persons I have ever known. He has been my doctor and friend for 22 years. I can't imagine what y'all are going through right now. He was the embodiment of the community Doctor. He worked with our clients at Stridehouse and at Arkansas Health Center (and at nursing homes) with such care and compassion. Truly a loss for the Saline County community. My prayers are with you all as you try to make your way through what seems an insurmountable journey. I hope knowing that he was loved by many and touched so many lives will help you in your grief. May God be with you in your grief.

Much love to you all

It will be impossible to replace such a wonderful doctor and friend although we have used some of the other doctors in practice with him. You three and your entire families are in our prayers. "So Sad to hear of Brian's death. I have known Brian for many years - as a friend, a fellow healthcare professional, patient, racquetball competitors, and as youth basketball and baseball coaches. He was an exceptional, humble physician with great diagnostic and treatment skills (physical and mental health) and dealt with patients from all walks of life. He managed them with kindness and empathy. He will be greatly missed by so many. My heart goes out to the Sudderth family. Steve Newsome and Family"

"Dr. Sudderth took me on as a physician assistant student in 2009 for my family practice rotation. He was a phenomenal teacher and treated me like a colleague even though I was just a student. He taught me a great deal about how to relate to patients. He also helped me get the final rotation I needed to complete PA school. I am a better clinician for having trained under him. He will be missed not just in saline county but all over the country in the lives of people he touched. I am deeply saddened by his passing and wish his family peace in this devastating time. "
Merritt Finney Rausch | Little Rock, AR |

"Dr. Sud was a very interesting person. I enjoyed knowing him for the six years I worked there and learning his bits of knowledge from medical to common sense or just interesting to know. I use to laugh at him in the kitchen making a breakfast masterpiece out of lunch from the day before. Very humble, kind, compassionate, funny, smart and will very much be missed by all.
Mrs. Sudderth, Lauren & Jim...may you find peace in knowing he served well here with us and will even more now in Heaven."

Amy Fortner-Richmond | Little Rock, AR |

"I am truly saddened by Brian's death.
I had the privilege of meeting Brian and Lynn in college, shared some fun times with both and have the fondest memories of my relationship with them. Brian helped me pursue my medical degree, gave me confidence that I could become a doctor and raised the bar on patient care. Reading the testimonials confirms he carried on the highest quality of care for his patients. Receiving such acknowledgements is quite enviable to all primary care doctors. Comments such as "he was a God-send" or "Dr. Sudderth helped us through our daughter's death" speaks to the compassionate attention he provided for his patients.
I already knew what a great guy and husband he was and I am certain that translated to being a great dad.
Interestingly, I envy all who have had a chance to interact with Brian over the last few years and have received his counsel and love. I am certain you were enriched and uplifted. May God's Peace and Presence surround you, Lynn, and may He guard the hearts and minds of your children. "

Steven B Masters, MD | Knoxville , TN |

He was truly loved by all and will be sorely missed. Lynn, Lauren & Jim my prayers are with you. May we all look forward to that great meeting in heaven where there are no tears or sorrow. Loved him and you."

"Dr. Sudderth was my PCP and he was the only doctor I enjoyed going to. It never felt like it was a have to situation, he somehow made you feel as if you were coming to an old friend. He listened and never made you feel rushed or pressured. He was truly concerned about all his patients. I will never forget the way he was concerned about my weight. He never made me ashamed of it, just tried helping. He even told me "If I need to chase you with a stick to get you motivated I will". I am very heartbroken right now like so many others. He will be deeply missed and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this time. "

"My most fervent prayers are with Lynn and everyone in the Sudderth and Reecer families. In shock, sadness and heartbreak, we should still rejoice in the knowledge that Brian's wonderful spirit is now with Our Lord. In time, we will see him again in a far better place.

Of all of us who were privileged to call him Brother in Tennessee Zeta Chapter of SAE at Rhodes College when we were very young men, Brian (aka "Disney") was flat-out, hands-down the best of us. He embodied and personified -- then and later in life -- what a True Gentleman should be.

I loved Brian, as did we all. A loyal and steadfast friend, caring and dedicated physician, loving family man, and brilliant scholar. His legacy lives on in everyone who knew him. All of us are better people because of Brian.

I will be celebrating an Anglican Holy Communion service dedicated to Brian on Sunday, April 22."

"Brian was a model for living for all of us. To my best recollection, when he was elected president of the SAE chapter at Rhodes, some questioned the need for an election at all. He was the happy and most natural choice, because all of us knew we were better people just by being around him.

Our SAE chapter was a place where young men learned brotherly love, while sowing wild oats and looking with vitality into their future ahead. What a beautiful experience!

Brian's open and loving ways, then and throughout his professional and family life, helped make this experience one through which all who participated better men, leaders, family men, and souls.

Today, all of us have the model for personal greatness in whatever days lay ahead for us.

"Dear Family:
I had the great privilege to know Brian for many years -- from way back when he just started practice which was before I even started medical school. He was such a fine person to work with at AHC -- a compassionate doctor, excellent leader, and a very supportive and knowledgeable colleague. We are all still a bit stunned and, of course, very sad at his sudden passing -- it will surely take me some time to adjust to his not being around at AHC. I will always have positive memories of him, and he was a great friend and fellow MD. My heart goes out to all of you at this time.

"Lynn and the Sudderth family...Amy and I want to express our most deepest sorrow about Brian's passing. Having spoken with Brian many times about medicine in general and his practice, I knew he was a great doc but what a testament to that fact as I read the postings from patient after patient. May the love, admiration, and respect we all have for Brian help carry you and your family through these very tough days. "

"To the family of Dr. Suddreth,
Prayers that our mighty Lord wraps his loving arms around all of you and gives you the comfort you need.
I work as a unit secretay on the fifth floor at Saline Memorial. I have had the pleasure of working along side of Dr. Sudderth. He always put his patients and their families first, showed all our staff repect. After he stopped rounding on patients he would stop bye to check on his clinic patients. His wonderful smile always warmed my heart and made my day so much better. I was truly blessed for having Dr. Sudderth in my life.
Keep tight and always share the special memories of him and they will carry you thru the hard times.

"How I hated to hear about Brian's passing. What a great guy he was. I knew Brian casually from high school. He was in my graduating class at Hall High in Little Rock. In fact he was our Student Body President our senior year. The guy was involved in so many of our student activities. Brian was one of the nicest guys in our class and wildly popular. I never heard anyone say anything but nice things about him then and now. Brian wasn't my doctor and he and I didn't socialize together, but I liked him a lot and he always took a minute to speak to me if we ever ran into each other. I know he will be missed very much. So very sorry for the loss to his family, friends and patients. It's obvious he made a huge impact in many people's lives... "

"Dr. Sudderth has been my Doc, for a long time. I am not sure what a great deal of the Saline residents will do with out him. He know's his patients, not looking at a chart or peice of paper before he walks in. He knows you he remembers your name your kids, the husband. He is one rare item in this world, of all the same. I will miss him and keep his family in my prayers. "

"Dear Lynn,
I am so thankful that I got to spend time with you and Brian this past February in Atlanta. "Dr. Sudderth was my moms arthiritis doctor, my sister and my family doctor for years and I also thought he was younger than me. I am 53 and when we talked about sports and physical shape I thought he was at least 45. It was just a shock for me to hear him pass away. He just recently was helping me get through my struggle with depression and I owe him everything. Even after life he is helping me. His obituary read that Brian had a great passion for life and tried to live each day to the fullest. Knowing Brian, those are his words to stand by. I will miss him and work to follow Brians ways in life and trust in God everyday. Thanks Brian, from Tim, Alice and Agnes. "

"You will be truly missed. I remember a time when I came in to see you. After the appointment was over You asked me if I ever stopped to watch the sun rise. I told you that I hadn't in a very long time. You said to me..."Just this morining I was running late. I was ...busy thinking of all the things that I had to do today. I was getting out of my car and I noticed the sky. I stood there with my arms full of work, and watched the sun rise. It was beautiful. I watched it fully rise even though I was late. I'm going to to that more often. Karen I want you to take the time to watch a sunrise. Will you do that for me" I told him I would.

"We will miss Dr. Sudderth greatly. He became our doctor more than 20yrs ago when he was still in Bryant. We trusted him with our lives and he proved that we were smart in doing so. He saved Jerry's life without a doubt. Jerry was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension 12yrs ago. There was a study being done about that time on a very expensive medication that was approved for another medical condition. Of course since it was not approved for Jerry's condition insurance would not pay. Dr. Sudderth went far beyond what an ordinary Dr. would have done, he provided Jerry with free samples for a long time. Within days of being on the med Jerry showed great improvement(much to Dr. Sudderth's obvious delight!). The med was finally approved and he still takes it. Jerry was given 3-5yrs before needing a lung-heart transplant but thanks to the caring of this man, its been 12yrs and still the transplant has not been necessary! I wish we could thank him just one more time for the life he gave us."

"Such a kind, caring person - who once gave a shy freshman girl a fun whirl on the dance floor on the slate in front of Burrow Library. Thanks for the memories."

"I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. Sudderth's passing. We've known Lynn and Brian for a number of years, as many people have through our kids' school and extra curricular activities. Although he was not my family's doctor, we did see him from time to time when Dr. Albey was unavailable. Jonathon remembers him as one of several parents who took the time and effort to start a soccer program at Benton High School. Kaitlin, Jonathon and I send our thoughts and prayers to Lynn and the Family."

"I have been Dr. Suddereth's patient since his early Bryant days. He took care of my father, James Alley, until his death in 1993. He was my mother's doctor as well and she is 90 years old. When my dad was ill and in Saline Memorial he would sometime bring his daughter to make rounds with him. When he would find me in my dad's hospital room, he would leave his daughter with me until he finished rounds. That is total trust between doctor and patient. Dr. Suddereth has helped me through a divorce, heart break and many other challenges a young mother faces who is single and alone. I am at a loss now of what I will do because in almost 30 years I have known no other doctor. I feel such sorrow for the family and all of us who knew him. I send my prayers and thoughts to his family, colleages, patients, friends and associates."

" Dr. Sudderth was my primary care physician from 1985 until his passing in 2012. During those 27 years we became more like friends instead of so much of the doctor-patient relationship. We would talk sometimes for 10 to 15 minutes after discussing and diagnosing what I was there to see him for. We talked about his running, his hobbies and my teaching martial arts. He was very involved in the community and he talked highly about his family and friends. I liked that about him. To this day in 2017 he is the only doctor that I did not mind going to. I was in Louisiana when I heard of his passing and it almost felt as if a member of my family had passed. I have not been able to find another doctor that even comes close to being the physician that he was. May he Rest In Peace knowing many people thought very highly of him and the great work he did here on earth. I still miss him to this day and I still talk to others about how great of a physician he was to myself and my family. I cannot remember a time when he did not know what was wrong with me or a family member when we had to see him for an illness or injury. He always diagnosed and treated it correctly. That is something that cannot be said about every doctor. He may have gotten some other diagnosis wrong for someone else but I don't remember a time that it happened to me. Thank you Dr. Sudderh. Fly high sir. "
