"Mr. Mickel's twinkle in his eye and bright smile will forever be missed. While he was most definitely a second dad to the Kelley boys, he was also thought of that way by us Kelley girls too. Whether it was the huge hug, the way he said, "Miss Natalie," or the so so so many wonderful memories of all the boys playing baseball under his wing, I'll never forget what a kind, inclusive and caring person he was. I feel so fortunate to have gotten to have moved back to Little Rock for a short time when I got to enjoy many pizzas at Damn Good, cookouts at the Little Red and seeing Mr. Mickel beam with pride at each of his boys weddings. But on a serious note, I remember sitting in the stands at a Traveler game one evening and I was worried about my own eternal well being at the time. I asked Delbert if he ever worried about dying and going to Hell. He said sharply and quickly "No." I asked why. He said "I believe in Jesus Christ." And THAT is the only correct answer there is to that question."
