"Scott was a funny guy. I taught him guitar lessons for a few years and no matter what kind of day I was having, he would always cheer me up. His lesson was the lesson I always looked forward to because he always joked around and we had a great time. He was more than a student, he was my friend. I will miss him everyday.

"I work for Answerfone and Scott was our contact for the Catlett Corp. He was the sweetest, kindest man ever. It didn't matter the time or day we knew we could contact him and if not then Brenda was there to help us. I remember thinking when I saw a new contact name, how much I missed him because he was always there. God bless his family and we have a new angel in heaven."
Nancy Rennels | Little Rock , AR |

"I had the pleasure of working with Scott at Catlett Corporation. Scott was the hardest working fellow. Always on time and never missed a day. He never slacked in anything he did, personally or professionally. He was funny, quirky and extremely kind. He was always in the best mood. The only time I saw him upset was when Mr. Catlett made him use a computer! He loved his family and was so proud of his children. I am blessed to have known him. "

"Deepest sympathy to the family. Scott was a younger fraternity member to me in the S.A.E. House in Fayetteville. A very good man!"

"Scott was a gentle, humorous guy whom I met years ago and enjoyed being around. He was very proud of you, Brenda, and his children. May God give you peace during this difficult time and in time restore your heartbreak with wonderful memories. Scott is probably spending a little time with Uncle Buddy in Heaven now and they are no doubt making others laugh! "

"To Scott's Family,
I was saddened, and shocked to see Scott's obituary. He was such a friendly, optimistic person to know, and always had a smile on his face! He was ready to chit chat about the Razorbacks at any given moment, whether they would win or lose. He always showed concern about others, and their well being. When Catlett moved their office, we haven't had much contact with each other, other than seeing him at the grocery store a few times. I know he loved his family, and his faith very much. Rest in Peace, Scott... "

"Brenda, My heart and prayers are with you. I know this has been a long and difficult journey but now Scott can finally get some rest. Loving someone means that sometimes we have to love them enough to let them go. One of my favorite stories is of an old monk traveling on a rocky mountain pass at night. Someone commented on his dim light. He replied it was just bright enough to light his next step. From there he could see where the next step led. Billy Green "
Billy Green | Jonesboro, AR | Billy.green30@yahoo.com

"My heart and prayers go out to you Brenda, Mary, Scott Jr. & Leslie.
I was fortunate to have spent the last 17 years with Scott on a daily basis. I feel lost when I walk into the office, looking for him, waiting for him to come into my office and ask me as only Scott can do "What do ya think?" My friend is gone.
I find comfort in knowing, without a doubt he arrived in heaven, set up a direct bill and began embracing anyone and everyone. The world lost a wonderful person, heaven gained a saint!"

Johnny Seiter | Little Rock, AR |

"Brenda, I was so sorry to hear about your husband Scott. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May the Lord give you the strength to make it through this difficult time. "

"Scott was always positive, upbeat. If he ever had a bad day he never let anyone know it. He was helpful to everyone and was the "model SAE pledge" when being a Spring Pledge was the toughest duty of all. He will be missed by his brothers in the bonds."
Tom Christenbury | Memphis, TN | tchrist601@gmail.com

"I was very saddened to hear of Scott's death. I began my teaching career at Pulaski Academy in 1974-75 and I remember Scott and his classmates well. Because PA was such a small school at that time, we were a close family, and I have always felt a special kinship with the students I taught in my English class those first few years. As others have expressed, I too remember Scott as being upbeat, caring, polite, and friendly to everyone. I know you, as Scott's family, are heartbroken, and I am praying for God to enfold you in His loving arms and give you strength, courage, and peace, as you cherish the memories of a life well lived and remember the love and admiration so many feel for Scott."
Marylee Noble | Little Rocm, AR | maryleenoble@gmail.com

"To his family, Brenda, Scott Jr, and Leslie, I pray God brings you peace and comfort in this time of his passing. Scott is dancing in heaven with no pain now. I will not forget his shuffle down the hallway, his clinking of ice in his cup, and even his blender when he would make smoothies at work. This was the sweetest man you would ever know and I was glad to call him my co-worker, my friend, and my family as I worked closely with him in our research department. Scott Cooper, I will miss you buddy."

"My prayers and sympathies to Brenda, Mary, Scott Jr & Leslie. I will miss my friend and co-worker, Scottie as I called him for 14 yrs. "Brenda & Aunt Mary,
I'm in shock! I just by accident came across Scott's obituary today (01/14/14). I didn't even know that he was sick. The last time I saw you and Scott was when LR Catholic played PBHS here in football several years ago. Since it had been so long I was wanting to give him a call to see how things were going. I'm so sorry to hear of this!

Please give me a call. I'm in the Pine Bluff phonebook.

Your Cuz,

Carlton"
