"I can't tell you how many of my childhood memories are centered around the Allen family. From the "Study Group" get togethers our parents treasured, to the excursions to Lake Sylvia to shooting fireworks with the Allen kids on the Fourth of July. The Allens were good friends not only to our family but to the entire Holy Souls family. I will always remember Mrs. Allen as a beautiful, gracious and amazingly strong woman.

In explaining to my children who Mrs. Allen was I simply told them she was the lady that had given my mom the Chocolate Chip Cake recipe which has been a family favorite for many years.

My thoughts and prayer go out to the entire Allen family during this difficult time. Know that your mom was treasured and appreciated by many of us over the years.
