Interesting that Southwest High School in Washburn Missouri isn't mentioned in her obituary. As one of many of her students at Southwest High School she made the biggest difference for me in high school. She was my business teacher and FBLA Advisor. With her instruction I became a State Award Winning typist (120 wpm no mistakes) and I ran a campaign for State FBLA Vice-President. I lost the campaign (was runner-up). With this tough loss she had a significant role in teaching me about losing and life. A lesson I've taken with me through out my career and life. I've served in several marketing roles in my career with Brands such as Coke and Samsung. I'm deeply grateful to Mrs. Ellis! Sincere condolences to her family (twins in her belly during my junior year)

What a shock to hear that she has passed. I was the secretary at the Southwest High School when Sharon taught business at the school. She was loved by all and I am sure the family will miss her tremendously. She is with the Lord now.

I loved Sharon. My heart is breaking for her family. I worked with Sharon in Fort Smith. She spoke so lovingly of her family. She was my mentor and friend. She taught me so much about being a teacher and advocate for students. Sharon was a role model for education, students, teachers, and so many more. I have such great respect for her. She will be missed by all that know her. My heart is hurting...
