Biography: Duran B. Jenkins, age 82, passed away August 5, 2016 following a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Carol Jenkins. Duran is survived by his children, Dee Curtis (John) of Little Rock, AR, Dan Jenkins (Brenda) of Bradenton, FL, grandchildren, Laura Harris Davis, of Benton, Lauren Curtis of Little Rock, AR and Bailey Jenkins of Bradenton, FL, sisters, Nancy Renkel, Priscilla Riera and Marilyn Newcomb. Duran was a charter member of Crossview Baptist Church, having been the church?s first deacon. He was a proud member of the United States Armed Forces serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retiring from the U.S. Air Force in the early 1970?s. A celebration of Duran?s life will be held with a remembrance luncheon at Crossview Baptist Church, 687 Burnham Rd. in Brandon, Mississippi on Sunday, August 14, 2016, immediately following Sunday Morning Worship Services. There will be a graveside service with military honors at 2:00 p.m. at Brandon Memorial Gardens where all are invited to attend. The family requests that everyone please wear yellow to the service, in honor of that being Duran?s favorite color. So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4
(3) "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ?Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. (4)
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
