Biography: Gary Miles Goldsby, 67, died Friday, March 3, 2017. Gary leaves his wife of 47 years, Paulette, daughter, Greta Goldsby (Justin Dunlap), grandchildren, John Miles and Lyle Dunlap, brother, Boyd Goldsby, brother-in-law, Ben Traylor (Dianne), and many other beloved family members and lifelong friends. The son of Betty and Don Goldsby, Gary was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and graduated from Conway High School. He attended the University of Central Arkansas, where he met Paulette. After graduating with a business degree, he began a 45 year career as a residential real estate salesperson in Little Rock. He joined Coldwell Banker Rector Phillips Morse in 1989, where he served as a salesperson and associate broker until his death. Gary helped thousands of people buy and sell homes in Central Arkansas over the span of a successful career and was a Life Member of the Million Dollar Club. Gary enjoyed good food, family vacations to the beach, movies of all genres, and last but not least, being correct. Gary served Grace Lutheran Church faithfully in many capacities over 36 years. However, first and foremost, Gary was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, always putting his family before himself. He lived well, authentically and honestly his whole life. His quick wit and sharp mind will be missed by all who knew him. A visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church, 5124 Hillcrest Ave. (Kavanaugh and Hillcrest), prior to a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at Grace Lutheran Church commencing at 2:00pm. A special thanks from Gary's family to Dr. Steven Hutchins and staff at Baptist Health Transplant Institute who refused to give up on finding a way to give Gary a better quality of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Lutheran Church or American Heart Association.

Dear Paulette,
My name is Don Saulters. You don't know me but Gary and I remembered each other from our childhood. I last spoke with Gary on February 10 at my Aunt Leota Henderson's funeral. Gary and his family once lived across the road from my Aunt Leota, near England. Years later, Gary happened to work with my Dad at WinRock homes. They redeveloped a relationship and friendship. When I saw him last, 2/10/17, he had precise memories of our childhood friendship. Particularly, a quarter-midget go-cart I had.
I thought he looked like the picture of health.
I am so sorry for your families' loss. You all have lost a truly good man. This world will be less without him.
May God grant you the "peace that passes all understanding."
