My sweet cousin. I wake up wanting to call or text you but I know that won't be possible. You were such a genuine soul. You will forever be in my heart. I love you. You completed your mission on earth by spreading love, wisdom and the word of god. You touched the lives of many. Until we meet again.

I send my deepest condolences, to the family, and friends, of Nic. Such a force of nature. A great gift to the world, and to all those, that were privileged, to get to know, and love, this shinning, example, of individuality, and style. When I think back, when we got to know each other, that's what I saw. Always getting out there, and letting them have it. Always, with the amazingly funny, observations, on things, in life. He will be greatly missed. He was too young to die, yet, he will always be beautiful, smart, funny, and amazing, in my mind.

Yesterday, I began writing this, and today I'm still at a loss for words. I want to extend to Nic's family my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy for what you are experiencing. Nicodemus touched so many lives in a positive way that we're all left grieving with his sudden passing. It's in these times that I often revert back to a simple prayer:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can. And the wisdom to know the difference.

I know Nic's spirit will forever live on with those that knew him.

I am so sorry for your loss! I have worked beside him and for him when he owned his salon! He was always smiling, he will be deeply missed by many!!!! He was a great friend and I am sorry for all of you!

Nic, I've been knowing you for over half of my life and you have always been a big brother to me. I'm closer to you than I am to my own blood brother. Thank you for telling Fred that you wanted to work with the Black girl (lol!...and that's why he moved me over with you). Thank you for always being so selfless. Thank you for the tears and happiness we shared. Thank you for being family. Thank you for getting me back in church and closer to God in 2009 when I felt broken after losing my mother. Thank you for the long talks and sharing your love of loving and seeing the best in others. Thank you for your life! I will miss you so much and I love you!!!

To the Bondoc and Ruiz family, I am so sorry for your loss and I am praying for you all nonstop. Mommy (Hohannes), please know that I will still be here for you when you need me and I love you!

Nic and I has been friends since Jr High and he was such an amazing person loving and caring I could talk to Nic pretty much about anything and he wouldn't judge me. Nic I'm going to miss you so much. You fought a good fight. I love you and you rest on baby!

Nic,

what can I say about you that everyone doesn't already know? I probably knew you better then anyone. You were such a amazing friend, I know you would of done anything for me and Aubrey. You enriched my life so much. You taught me how to love myself, when I was just a dumb kid. You gave me the big family I never had, even through the tough times you never let me go. Our friendship is one of the sweetest and purest... our love will go on and exist forever. You are a soulmate to me and I know we will be linked forever. No words can express my heart ache right now, but I know you are with me still. To the Bondoc family, I love all of you. You are my family we've been through everything together and you all can count on me for anything.

I've known Nic for as long as I've worked in Park Plaza mall (19 years) and I will always remember his laugh, and his sweet spirit. My heart goes out to his family and close friends.

He was so passionate about hair and beauty, but most importantly he was passionate about our Lord and savior. He was one of, if not the, most loyal friends I have ever had the blessing of having in my life.To know him was to love him. I will never forget our memories and how he made me feel. Fly high Nicodemus! God gained a precious angel when he called you home.
