So very sorry for the tragic loss of your young son.
We may wonder why this tragedy was allowed to happen.
Jesus well knew the Bible statement: "Time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all" [Ecclesiastes 9:11]. He knew that
sometimes bad things just happen.
The Revelation 21:3,4 states that "death will be no more and pain
will be no more, the former things will have passed away"
Our Creator, Jehovah God, by means of his son Jesus, is going to undo the tragedies that touch our lives today. John 5:28,29 promises "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29?and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life...."

Brooks reminded me of when I was his age. I was so excited to be in a band. Everything had to be right. I asked Brooks to open for me April 14th. He said he had a band. I said "Even Better". Two weeks before the show he text me and said "Next Friday right?". "Yes". He said "We are getting excited". I said "Me Too!". It was a perfect show. The next day I heard the news. I feel so much grief. I don't understand why this happened. I cry and hurt. I hurt for your loss. I will never forget him. Thank y'all (Angie, David, & Jeanne) for being there and supporting him at our show. If I can do anything; I am here. My condolences.

I was so shocked and saddened to learn of the loss of your precious son and my former student. With class composite pictures recently re-hung in the halls at the high school at Little Rock Christian, I made it a point this morning to hunt down the class of 2014. Brooks's beautiful smile made him easy to find among the dozens of faces. I feel blessed that our paths crossed and that I will see him again soon. Sending hugs to your family.

Your family has been heavy on my heart. I am thinking of all the adventures that our boys have had together. It seems like yesterday they set out on the adventure of a lifetime. They grew so much in that very short time. They learned much about themselves and each other, and they learned that the road always leads you back home. Joseph enjoyed exploring music with Brooks, and he spoke often of how talented he is. I am thankful for the time we had to watch them grow and perform together, but I am most thankful that they remained friends above all else. Brooks will remain in my heart, as will the music and memories. You all are in my prayers and heart.
