Biography: Lillian Louise (Vincent) Starling passed away the evening of July 28, 2017 after a long, courageous battle with pulmonary disease. Louise was a lifelong resident of Little Rock, attending Lee Elementary, Pulaski Heights Junior High School and graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1962. She received a degree in Education from Little Rock University. Louise taught in the Little Rock schools for 40 years. Louise is survived by her two children, Jason D. Starling of Cabot, AR and Kimberly M. Starling of Little Rock, AR and her beloved pets. In addition to, Louise is also survived by her cousins, Virginia (Johnson) Buck and her brother Jesse L. Johnson, Jr, her children?s father Danny Starling, children?s grandfather, Louis Starling, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Julie Starling, as well as brother in-law, Roger Starling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Faye (Keenzel) Vincent and Clifford Leroy Vincent. Her maternal grandparents were Esther and George E. Keenzel of Little Rock. Louise was a wonder mother to her two children. She enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible, and relished the cross-county family road trips they were able to take. She was a Master Gardener as well as a charter member of the Heightswood Garden Club. Louise was on the Little Rock Council of Garden Clubs, and in 2015 she chaired the Little Rock Garden Club Tour. She was an officer in the Arkansas unit of Herb Society of America as well as Questers Antique Club, Quapaw 519. She was a member of the Little Rock Retired Teachers and enjoyed catching up with old teacher friends at the monthly luncheons. She spent most Friday nights eating with her Friday night group. In addition to gardening and antiquing she was an avid animal lover. She volunteered with Out of the Woods Animal Rescue and over the past several years she has fostered countless number of puppies waiting on their forever homes. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock, AR from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Out of the Woods Animal Rescue, PO Box 7365, Little Rock, Arkansas 72217.

I've known Louise for about the last two years. In that time I found her to be a wonderful person, mother and pet lover. She is missed by me as well as the other Friday night group of friends. Prayers are with your family.
