Biography: William D. "Bill " Phelps Jr., 93, died on December 8, 2025. Bill was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to William and Fay Phelps. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, he served in the US Air Force as a Captain and then became the fourth-generation owner of Phelps Fan Company in Little Rock. He also owned Phelps Pecan Farm.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lynn, of 44 years; his children, Don Phelps (Cindy) ; Jo Helen Kelly (Frank); stepdaughter, Lisa Williams (Brian); sister, Frances Roberts; three grandchildren, Jay Kelly, Kelsey Suskie (Trey), and Garrett Phelps; and five great-grandchildren.
Bill was an active member of Lakeside Country Club where he served on the Board and enjoyed fishing. He was an active member of the Episcopal Church at St. Marks, serving on the vestry and singing in the choir. Upon retirement, he and Lynn moved to Mtn. View.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday, December 12,2025 at Pinecrest Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at St. Mark's Episcopal Church at 1:00 PM with reception.
